EY Audit Lab opens in Business Building
The School of Business’s EY Audit Lab, which opened in February, gives TCNJ’s accounting students the ability to work with advanced audit software and real-time data. The lab was established through support from alumni—particularly Shawn Rogers ’93—and the accounting firm EY.
“Traditionally, auditing is a skill you learn in on-the-job training when you begin working at a public accounting firm,” said Rogers, who is a partner at EY. “The lab will give TCNJ students an advantage in that they’ll get experience working in teams and working in a real audit-type environment.”
Satellite office opens in Trenton
Some 80 years after leaving New Jersey’s capital city, the College is back. It has opened TrentonWorks, a downtown location envisioned as a center of learning as well as a stimulus for innovation and economic revitalization.
“It’s a very cool space, where we can make our programs more accessible to our community partners and really broaden the menu TCNJ can offer students,” said Patrick Donohue, assistant provost of community-engaged learning and partnerships.
The office is located above a Dunkin’ Donuts at 5 South Broad near State Street—catty-corner to where the College’s first classes were held in October 1855 while construction on the original campus was being completed.
