Guitar heroes, lay down your axes. The Virtual Maestro Interactive Conducting Kiosk lets you conduct an entire orchestra using a Nintendo Wii-mote. Designed and built by a team that included Teresa Nakra, assistant professor of music, and Chris Ault, assistant professor of interactive multimedia, the kiosk is on tour with the Verbier Orchestra through summer 2008, making stops across the United States and Europe. While it is too early to tell if a company might one day manufacture and sell the product, you can see the kiosk in action here:
