Accounting program receives high rankings in value and return on investment, according to “Businessweek”
The College of New Jersey recently ranked number 47 out of 111 schools on Bloomberg Businessweek’s “2010 Undergraduate Specialty Rankings” listing for accounting programs.

Businessweek also rated TCNJ’s “Return on Investment” at 56, a dollar value of $3.93 for salary per annual tuition dollar.
Overall, TCNJ’s School of Business ranked 65 out of 111 schools that made it on the list of “2010 Top Undergraduate Business Schools” in the country.
The “Return on Investment” for TCNJ was measured by dividing business graduates’ starting annual salary average, $50,000, with the college’s annual tuition and fees, $12,722.
“To determine which business programs give students the biggest return on their tuition dollar, we compared annual tuition costs at each of the programs that participated in our recent undergraduate b-school ranking with median starting salaries for graduates,” Businessweek explained.
“Overall, public universities with their lower tuition did far better than elite private schools, averaging $5.34 in pay for every tuition dollar spent, compared to $1.46 for the privates,” the report concluded.
