TCNJ claims eighth place in Directors’ Cup race
The College is one of only two institutions to finish in the Top 10 in each of the 15 years the Directors’ Cup has been awarded.
For the 15th straight year, the College’s athletics program finished in the Top 10 of the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup for institutions competing at the NCAA Division III level.
Directors’ Cup ratings are the results of an accumulation of points accrued at the various NCAA Division III Championships to evaluate the ranking of a college’s overall athletic program. Last academic year, the Lions earned 677.75 points thanks to seven different teams’ Top 10 national finishes: women’s soccer (third), men’s swimming and diving (sixth), women’s swimming and diving (ninth), women’s indoor track and field (eighth), women’s lacrosse (fifth), women’s outdoor track and field (eighth), and women’s tennis (ninth).
By placing eighth, TCNJ is one of only two institutions to finish in the Top 10 in each of the 15 years the Directors’ Cup has been awarded. Williams College (MA) is the other school to accomplish this feat.
