Help for Alumni Searching the “Help Wanted” Ads

classifiedsTCNJ’s Career Center offers alumni several cost-free services to help with job-hunting after graduation. LionsLink, the College’s online recruitment system, connects alumni with recruitment partners in a variety of disciplines. Although most of the opportunities are designed for recent graduates, there are several available for alumni with professional experience.

Additionally, TCNJ graduates can locate job-search guidelines regarding interviews, resumes, career paths, and credentials on the Career Center’s guidance page (www.tcnj.edu/~career/guidance/).

Looking to expand your search offline? There are a number of on-campus avenues for career exploration. Alumni can schedule up to three appointments with a TCNJ career counselor, who will help to maximize job searches. (Because of the high demand for Career Center appointments during the academic year, there could be a wait of up to three weeks.)

Outside the office, the Career Center and Office of Alumni Affairs organize various group events aimed at introducing graduates to potential employers. The Career Center sponsors networking programs and holds job and internship fairs throughout the fall and spring semesters. During the Fall 2009 Career and Internship Day, companies as diverse as Bloomberg LP, Toys “R” Us, and MTV Networks were on campus looking for potential employees of all majors.

To learn more about recruiting opportunities, request employer information, or schedule an appointment, alumni can contact the Career Center at 609.771.2161 or via e-mail at career@tcnj.edu.
