Alum Lands Co-hosting Spots on “Live with Regis and Kelly” and “Shaq vs.”
Pat Tomasulo’s work on WGN has made him a local celebrity in the Chicago area. Now thanks to recent co-hosting appearances on nationally televised programs, it shouldn’t be long before the rest of America knows his name.

In our June 2008 issue, we told you about Pat Tomasulo ’00, the sports anchor and reporter from Chicago’s WGN Morning News. Pat’s work with the station has made him a local celebrity in the Chicagoland area. Now, thanks to two recent appearances on nationally televised programs, it shouldn’t be long before the rest of America knows Pat’s name.
Last August, Pat was a winner in the Live with Regis and Kelly co-host-for-a-day competition, which gave him the chance to sit in Regis Philbin’s chair and share hosting duties with Kelly Ripa. The show’s producers must have liked what they saw, because Pat said that later this month he will be contributing a taped segment to the show.
Pat is also the co-host of the ABC reality series Shaq vs. The show features basketball superstar Shaquille O’Neal challenging top performers from other sports to friendly athletic competitions. Recent episodes have featured O’Neal taking on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, and retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya. Pat is on hand to set up the action and trade quips with co-host Mike Goldberg. Here are some highlights from Pat’s appearances on the show:
