Women’s Basketball Wrap-up
TCNJ’s women’s hoops team made the program’s first-ever trip to the Final Four this past spring.
Congratulations to the women’s hoops team, which made the program’s first-ever trip to the Final Four before falling to eventual national champion George Fox University in the national semifinal game. The Lions’ season ended on a high note though, as the team beat Amherst College 82-74 in the national consolation game. During the 2008–09 campaign, the team set a school record for wins in a season (28), while helping Coach Dawn Henderson reach her milestone 350th win. Senior standout Hillary Klimowicz closed out her Lions’ career by being named the 2009 Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association Player of the Year and the New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
