Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine has again ranked TCNJ as the best value in New Jersey among public college and universities. The ranking, which appeared in the December issue of the magazine, is part of Kiplinger’s annual report on the “100 Best Values in Public Colleges.”
Selected from a pool of more than 500 public four-year colleges and universities, schools in the Kiplinger 100 were ranked according to academic quality, including admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios and four- and six-year graduation rates, as well as on cost and financial aid.
TCNJ ranked 24th out of 100 for in-state tuition, and 6th for out-of-state students. “With the economic turmoil of 2008, families of all income levels are feeling the financial pinch,” said Fred Frailey, editor of Kiplinger’s. “But schools like [TCNJ] prove that an excellent education is still available at an affordable price.”
