The field hockey team captured the program’s 11th—and the college’s 40th—NCAA Division III championship with a 2-0 victory over Bowdoin College on Nov. 23. TCNJ’s defense was stellar throughout the tournament, posting shutouts against SUNY–New Paltz (4-0), Catholic University (1-0), and Middlebury College (2-0) en route to the title game. In so doing, the Lions became the first team in national tournament history to win the title while not allowing a goal.
