2009 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will be held in conjunction with Reunion Weekend, which is set for May 1–3 on TCNJ’s campus. Below is this year’s incoming class.
Jeanne Hengemuhle ’92 (softball)—All American, 1991 and 1992; National Player of the Year, 1991; Lions’ single-season triples leader (17); Lions’ career triples leader (32) and career at-bats leader (653).
C.J. Rockhill ’88 (baseball)—Lions’ career stolen-bases leader (77); Lions’ single-season leader for fewest strikeouts (167–3, 55.7).
Ronald Bussey ’84 (wrestling)—Third-team All American, 134 pounds, 1981; Second-team All American, 143 pounds, 1982 and 1983; Second-team All American, 158 pounds, 1984; member of NCAA D-III National Championship teams in 1981 and 1984.
Cathleen Filippello ’93 (field hockey)— Second-team All American, 1990 and 1991; First-team All American, 1992.
Joseph Clifton ‘88 (football)—Lions’ career leader, most yards in a game (300), most carries in a game (47), most carries in a season (223), and most rushing TDs in a game (4, three-way tie), Wade Watkins TCNJ Football Alumni Award, 2004; Earl H. Dean Scholar Athlete Award, 1987.
Robert Bornstein ’60, Veteran’s Committee selection, (football, basketball, and track)—football captain, 1959; Hammond-D’Errico Award for Outstanding Athletic Ability and Sportsmanship.
Teams of Distinction: 1981 women’s cross country team, NCAA Division III Runners-Up. 1978–79 wrestling team, NCAA Division III Champions.
