A Barnes &amp; Noble featuring a B&amp;N Caf\u00e9 was the first retailer to open its doors this summer. Others scheduled to follow suit include Panera Bread, Yummy Sushi, Red Berry Yogurt, Piccolo Pronto, Mexican Mariachi Grill, and Brickwall Tavern &amp; Dining Room. Those openings can\u2019t happen soon enough for the 446 students who moved into the center\u2019s upper-floor apartments this semester.<br \/>\n<br style=\"clear:both;\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:30px\"><strong>INGENIOUS PROPOSAL<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&gt;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-9519\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcnjmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/ingenious-engagement-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"ingenious-engagement\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Nicole Pieri \u201911 and Chris Hallberg \u201911 met by literally running into each other at Playfair, the frenetic Welcome Week freshmen icebreaker. \u201cWe were running in opposite directions, and I grabbed his arm and almost dislocated it,\u201d says Pieri. Four years of friendship and another four of dating followed. In June, Hallberg brought a legion of family and friends to campus to recreate the couple\u2019s initial encounter; then he popped the question. A shocked and sobbing Pieri said yes, the video of the proposal went viral\u2014and most important, no one was hurt.<br \/>\n<br style=\"clear:both;\"\/><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top:20px\"\"><strong>SAY HELLO TO OUR LITTLE FRIENDS<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">&gt;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-9520\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcnjmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_1139-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1139\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>With help from several mini-robots\u2014one wearing a tiny hard hat and swinging a tiny shovel\u2014the college broke ground on a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Building in July. The 89,000-square-foot building is part of a $75 million transformation of the campus\u2019s existing science and engineering facilities.
