At that time, the 80-year-old bronze marker, which presumably had been hung prior to the hall\u2019s dedication in June 1932, had been discovered in items marked for the trash. No one we spoke to on campus could seem to remember where the plaque had once hung or why and when it had been taken down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dale Simon<\/strong>, theatre coordinator and technical director for Kendall\u2019s Main Stage Theatre, contacted us recently with an update. It seems Emeritus Professor Hal Hogstrom wrote Simon to say he recalled seeing the sign mounted outside of Kendall. \u201cI suspect it was<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6410\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6410\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcnjmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4771.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-6410\" alt=\"What the plaque looked like when it was found last spring. \" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcnjmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/IMG_4771-150x150.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6410\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">What the plaque looked like when it was found last spring.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>removed due to the construction of the ADA ramp, which covered its original location,\u201d said Simon.<\/p>\n<p>There is a happy ending of sorts to the story, Simon added.
