Additional renovations are planned for summer 2010, explained <strong>Karen Roth \u201980<\/strong>, director of dining services. The bakery will be upgraded, and Wok and rotisserie areas will be added to create an experience \u201csimilar to what you see in upscale supermarkets,\u201d Roth said.<\/p>\n<p>For a more retro experience, students can sock-hop over to T-Dubs (the new official name of the Travers-Wolfe dining hall). It now features a 1950s-style diner d\u00e9cor, complete with black-and-white checkered floor and red-and-white vinyl booths. Roth said she had been considering turning T\/W\u2019s dining hall into a diner for some time, and credits TCNJ\u2019s Interior Designer Deborah Taylor with making the idea a reality.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"attachment wp-att-2038 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcnjmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/10\/on-campus-dining-d300898.jpg\" alt=\"t-w dining hall\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" \/>\u201cT-Dubs Diner,\u201d as the students call it, features traditional diner grub\u2014burgers, cheese-steaks, fries\u2014as well as pizza, to-go food, and a Mexican-inspired food station that serves quesadillas, tacos, and nachos.<\/p>\n<p>The diner even has its own signature sandwich, aptly named \u201cThe T-Dubs.\u201d Created by Executive Chef Erik Zwillinger, The T-Dubs is a southwest burger served in a crispy tortilla smothered in cheddar and jack cheeses, with lettuce, tomato, onions, jalapenos, and a homemade chili lime spread. \u201cThe student absolutlely love it,\u201d Roth said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hungry students returning to campus this fall had their choice of two newly renovated eateries at which to dine.
