Up Front: September 2012
If you could change anything, what would it be? See what these readers had to say.
As you might have noticed, we made some changes to TCNJ Magazine–both the print and online versions.
It has been nearly a decade since we last redesigned the print publication, and while the old format served its purpose well through the years, we thought it was time for a change. So, armed with feedback from readers, we created the new design you received in the mail earlier this month. While we were at it, we updated this website as well.
In both the print and online versions of the magazine, you’ll still find the content you told us you want: news about campus life; stories about the fascinating work being done by faculty, students, and staff; insightful profiles of alumni; coverage of Lions sports; and of course, class notes.
What’s changed is the presentation. For the print publication, we revamped the cover, added this new section, combined some others, increased our use of colors and graphics, incorporated more artful type design, and updated the layout. We redesigned the online version so that it coordinates with the new design of the print publication, and made some other changes to ensure this website looks the same whether you’re viewing it on a computer screen, a tablet, or a smart phone. The result, we hope, is that we created a more inviting, reader-friendly magazine—one that will hold your attention longer and strengthen your connection to TCNJ.
We’re excited about the changes we made, but we want to know what you think. Write us at magazine@tcnj.edu and tell us—and while you’re at it, feel free to be “Up Front” about the one thing you’d change if given the opportunity. Here’s what some of your fellow readers had to say:
