The College received its largest ever number of applications for first-year admission—9,936, which represents a 7.5 percent increase over last year—while witnessing an increase in the qualitative measures (both in SATs and in class rank) of its applicants. Here is a quick “by the numbers” overview of this year’s freshman class:
