New Leadership for Sports Information Office
A frequent contributor to “TCNJ Magazine” was recently appointed director of athletic communications for TCNJ.
Mark Gola was appointed director of athletic communications in August. Gola, a frequent contributor to this magazine in the past, has an eclectic background in sports writing and athletics. He has authored numerous sports instructional and reference books, has written news stories and features for Packet Publications in Princeton, and was the managing editor at Mountain Lion, Inc., a sports book packager.
A 1994 graduate of Rider University, Gola was an all-northeastern regional performer on the school’s baseball team and went on to become an assistant baseball coach at Rider and Princeton University. He has also coached varsity baseball and soccer at Hopewell Valley Central High School. Gola recently served as director at Dave Gallagher’s All-American Baseball Academy in Millstone, NJ, administering youth leagues, camps, instructional lessons, and Web site content.
Gola lives in Robbinsville with his wife Koy (Trakoontripop) Gola ’95.
