Frederick Keating ’70, MA ’73 was appointed president of Gloucester County College (GCC) on February 6 after serving as vice president of student services from 2010 to 2011, and interim president since June 2011.
Keating is a recognized educational leader with 30 years of experience in higher education. He has maintained adjunct status at LaSalle University since 1975, instructed at Rowan University, Rutgers University, Holy Family University, and most recently at Camden County College. Keating also served as superintendent of schools for Gloucester County Special Services School District and Gloucester County Vocational-Technical School District. He is currently completing doctoral studies at Wilmington University, DE, in higher education leadership.
“I am excited to begin my tenure as president,” Keating said. “My goal is to offer every interested student, a sound higher education opportunity here in Gloucester County.”
