Terence Grado ’09 was one of just 13 college students to take part in the Anti-Defamation League’s (ADL’s) Second Annual Current and Future Leaders Study Mission to Israel this past winter.

During his 10-day trip, Grado discussed the peace process with Israeli and Palestinian journalists, and met with “everyday Israeli citizens, minorities within Israel…members of Knesset, Israeli students, and [Israeli] soldiers.”

The political science and philosophy double major, who plans to go to law school and eventually enter politics, said the experience gave him new insight into the challenges faced by citizens of the region. It also gave him “a greater appreciation and understanding of a global perspective on the world, and of what non-Americans feel toward America,” he said.

“Overall, it was an amazing experience.”
