In order to expedite and enhance public accounting education in New Jersey, TCNJ’s School of Business and Rutgers Business School have entered into an agreement to ease undergraduates’ transition to master’s training.

With the signing of a recent agreement, Rutgers University will offer TCNJ business students admission into its Master of Accounting program on the same terms as Rutgers graduates. This includes the waiving of GMAT and GPA requirements, among other equivalency benefits.

Rules enacted in 2001 require that in order to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, students must register 150 credit hours. As the College’s Bachelor of Science degree comprises 136 credit hours, many business students attain the required hours by earning a master’s degree in accounting.

This agreement thus expands the cooperative relationship between Rutgers University and The College of New Jersey and provides TCNJ business students a new path for future success.
